Update

I've been very much away, on a long break away from blogging. Well, I've been busy with...almost nothing. FYP's over, report submission and oral presentation are done deals, and what's left of my undergraduate life is just two exam papers. I've been spending the past two weeks quite easily and lazily, waking up during lunch time and watching TV off the Internet. Life's been good (albeit a little empty).

First obsession in quite some time - my onions. I've started growing onions a couple days back and I can't seem to be patient about it! Not gonna lie, but I take a look at them every few hours for a couple of days now, eager to see tiny shoots coming out of them. Nothing has really changed except for the mould growing on them.

Another obsession worthy inclusion in my life is Spotify. If you haven't heard of it, please go do yourself good and download this magical app on your computer and iPhone. Finally, legal music streaming has taken over. This could spell the end of illegal downloads! However, not everything is up on Spotify though.

A couple of coffee places I've been to recently are SOHO Coffee and Kooka Cafe. Both are quaint little places with comfortable dim lightning and interesting furnishing.

Well, its high time I start studying for literally, my finals. Booyah.

What's Up This Week #2

So besides the fanatic writing of our FYP paper, the team and I went just across borders to Johor Bahru, Malaysia on Monday for a short getaway. It was quite a funny and tiring day as things went from Yay! to Nay! rather quickly. We didn't venture out much (because I was quite apprehensive aka scared about leaving the comforts of City Square) and things went downhill after we realized that the Bak Kut Teh we wanted to go eat, closed at 5pm. City Square gets pretty boring pretty quickly, and the bulk of money we  I spent was on food.

Bad things aside, I had a great fun time hanging out with my buddies and not thinking about work! ><

What's Up This Week?

Hi there! I'm sure even the most negligent reader of mind will agree that this place has taken a break on posts. Semester two has commenced and boy are we busy!

The whirlwind associated with FYP this semester has caused me to slow down on posting new entries (sorry!), but I do try to compensate with the weekly beauty lessons! Tiffany has loads of modules this semester so pardon her disappearance too ;). Besides busying myself with my projects, I have been practically doing little to nothing as everyone around me is more or less busy with their FYPs (including Alan, the bf) as well.

The majority of the free time I have this whole week was spent playing this crazily addictive (I suspect more like escapism-related) iPhone game – Pixel People. Basically, the user is the boss of this Utopia, runs the city and create clones via mixing and matching job descriptions. It kinda sucks my life away bit by bit ><

This week was busy but quite satisfying in a way, now that one project of mine (a certain part-time job) has ended, I am a little bit freer to do...even more work. Say hello to the life of a final student in wkwsci.

I know this is kinda like a rubbish post >< bare with me as I get my momentum for blogging back!

Birthday Post!

5th of June was my birthday and I was very blessed to have received many great gifts from my family and friends!

Fi, who knows I love my makeup got me a superb goodie bag. It was more than I hoped for! Quite some Philosophy products (which are mad expensive in Singapore) and other little goodies! Thank you loads :D

There is a full sized Purity 3-in-1 cleanser, which I loved from the sample I got; a travel kit with the same cleanser, Hope in a jar moisturizer and a sachet of eye gel; Banila co. SPF and highlighter; Shiseido hand cream and blotting paper; Watson's hand cream in pomergranate and ginger; not forgetting the Philosophy badge. Gorgeous goodie bag, I love Fi!

Kokky gave me an iPhone case! And such a beautiful one :) I love my phone cases and go through so many in such a short time. I really love how pretty this is, with muted colours. Love.

Haul next! Sis brought home makeup goodies from Hong Kong!

  Low and behold, I got quite a lovely surprised from my bf! 

He had me scan the QR code which revealed the present – an ice cream machine! What came along was a note book that I can log my ice cream making process and outcomes. Cute.

Some news

Good news is, my makeup pouch is back! My sister's friend (who happened to go over) brought it back for me! Hurrah! I got back my favourite foundation of all time – Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, my Heroine Make liquid liner and other essentials!
Not so good news, my sister was officially 'koped' my Dollywink liquid liner. Boohoo.  Now using Heroine Make which is quite similar. I want mine back!!
Will be doing a review on the Heroine Make liner soon!

YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!

A couple of days ago, I went on a short, lovely trip to Genting Highlands, land of cool air and gamblers. I enjoyed my trip very much. A day after returning from the well-deserved trip, I FOUND OUT THAT I LEFT MY MAKE UP BAG IN THE HOTEL ROOM.
How stupid is that?
Apparently, I had placed it in one of the inconspicuous drawers underneath the TV. I kept it there, out of sight, so that we could put our room on service. And I totally forgot about it, until I couldn't find it back at home. Boo.
Got the BF to call Resort Hotel Genting. It was there! BUT they don't do mail services whatsoever. So... how am I gonna get it back? The makeup bag with all of my favourite items is left, I'm sure, in a dark dark corner on a high mountain top, unable to come back to me. I can't plan another trip up again?! What's more, they are only gonna keep it there for three months and they'll chuck it. :(
I love my makeup and especially the pouch! I had great memories with it. The bag is sort of a sachet with a drawstring and in a nice cream colour. I got it from Topshop in UK for free! It came with three items in it: bobby pins, makeup removing wipes, liquid eyeliner. They had a promotion whereby if you get three or more items, they'll give the bag to you for free! How lovely.
It had followed me through my trip across Europe and I'm pretty much busted to find it gone, together with my many favourite items.

So, so, sad.
