Bye Bye January!

February 8, 2013

oh, where was i?

January was a good month - I cooked, I ran, I ate more veggies and quit fast food.
How's your 2013 shaping up to be?

Life has a funny way of spiraling out of control.
Monday must be the one greatest moderate villains in the universe.

LC-A Korea

January 4, 2013

Taken with LC-A/Lomography CN400

Spent a good 9 days with the family in Korea and I thereby conclude that I'll never travel in winter again. My tropical body just can't take the cold! I reached a new level of sloth by relying mostly on the LC-A throughout the trip, simply because it was just wayyyy to hard to adjust lenses and settings on the DSLR with gloves! Thankfully, the pictures on film turned out to be more amazing than it could ever be.

For film of choice, I used Lomo's Color Negative 400. The bluish tint of the film gave a very nice contrast against the frost and accentuated the blueness of the sky. The richness in color could also be a result of the very vacation-friendly LC-A - the camera is the King of Vignettes! All in all, I think it's great film to use, especially if you like your pictures bright and blue. Really happy with the photos :)

La Luna

September 10, 2012

How was your weekend?  We caught Brave on Saturday night and it was all things Pixar – googey, heartwarming fun that made the little kid in all of us shed a little tear. Compared to Pixar’s previous masterpieces, Brave tells a much lighter tale that leans heavily on being family-friendly. Before you dismiss the film entirely as a film too simple, we would recommend you to watch it for a totally irrelevant reason – La Luna - the feature short before the start of the actual film.

We’re not gonna spoil it for you, but we’ll give you a little hint of what it’s like. Imagine, the coalescence of a thousand honey stars into a single, glowing moon reflected in the curious eyes of a boy; simply put, La Luna combines the Little Prince, stars and moon rivers into five minutes of pure, breathtaking magic.

We melted on the spot.

A new week beckons and we hope you have a great one ahead!
